For those who aren't familiar, Fortnite players can browse and buy items from the shop through the Web Shop, even without launching the game. However, some sharp-eyed players noticed that the Dragon Ball skins were available through this method, even though they were not visible in-game.
Prominent leaker HYPEX took to social media to share this odd occurrence, providing direct links to the skins so players could snatch them up. Unfortunately, Epic Games confirmed that the skins weren't meant to be released yet and quickly pulled them from the Web Shop. However, the developers assured fans that the Dragon Ball bundles will return soon, though no specific date has been provided.
Epic Games addressed the situation via the Fortnite Status X (formerly Twitter) account, saying: "Some Dragon Ball items appeared available in the Web Shop ahead of their intended release date. We’ve removed them from the Shop for now, and they’ll return soon."
Once the skins return, Dragon Ball fans will have plenty to choose from, with 12 skins inspired by the work of legendary mangaka Akira Toriyama. The first set of skins—Goku, Beerus, Vegeta, and Bulma—were introduced in mid-2022, with more additions throughout 2023, including Adult Gohan, Piccolo, Goku Black, Cell, and Frieza. The most recent skins, Trunks, Android 17, and Android 18, were added in August 2024.
While it remains unclear if all the previous skins will make a comeback or if just a select few will return, it seems unlikely that new Dragon Ball skins will be introduced, as no leaks have suggested this possibility.
